Thursday, October 26, 200610:49 PMNETRIP NE trip today! =T

let's skip the dull security seminar n proceed to the exciting part of the day.
our first stop is the POLICE HERITAGE CENTRE! damn cool place. somemore it's in tis place called 'new phoneix park', so it's quite spaced-out. we had to go thru tis long n tedious process of exchanging our identification cards for the visitor passes, in the end we kinda spent more than 15 mins at the gate there ahh. in fact the building we went into was called 'police headquarters', haha so the need for the tight security check. it was quite nice la, in the guided tour, we got to see the commemorative gallery where it honours officers who hav died in the line of duty, n those who received conspicious awards for their acts of gallantry, wif the names inscribed on glass erm, tags n hanged along the walls, then some other galleries which i cant rmb much bout. anws, lunch was great! we juz ate there in the canteen. the food very cheap n in big portions too, haha ended up quite full.

spent a lot of time at rhe heritage centre, so we had to rush a bit for our next stop, which is the CENTRAL SIKH TEMPLE. but wait!! before tat, we hav to cover our hair wif scarfs (juz a coloured piece of cloth dunno come from where de) not like the pretty dutch lady but more like pok pok country bumpkin, then can step into the temple. n shoes hav to be taken off too, fortunately we were advised beforehand to wear clean n hole-less socks or else so unglam haha. we listened to tis 20mins presentation bout sikhism, which i dont understand half of the guy's heavy accent. somemore the floor was covered wif the oh-so-comfy carpets, had a hard time resisting temptation to sleep lol. but hmmm it was interesting to know tat all male sikhs are mr Singhs n all females sikhs are ms Kaur- they all hav the same family name! wooh so everybody is one big family wif one religion. cool.

pity not enough time for our last venue (some oh-so-bright hill temple), so we had to head back to sch. ahh no more NE trip next yr le!
gonna miss it. =X n the pple we had some much fun tgt.
